A Control4 system takeover in Dublin is when we take responsibility for a Control4 system that someone else installed, whether the dealer has closed, you have bought a house with a system in it, or support has simply stopped. We survey it, register it to our dealer account and bring it back into good order.
How a Control4 system takeover works in Dublin
We start with a visit. An engineer goes through the rack and the wiring, lists every device with its firmware, and checks what licences and accounts the system depends on. You get a plain report: what works, what does not, what is out of date and what we suggest doing first.
If you go ahead, the system moves to our Control4 dealer account so we can support it remotely, failed equipment is replaced, the controller is updated and the programming tidied. Most Dublin takeovers end on a Control4 Care plan so the system stays supported.
- Survey. Every device logged, every cable traced, firmware and licences checked.
- Health report. What works, what does not, what is urgent and what can wait.
- Registration. The system moves to our dealer account for remote support and updates.
- Repair and update. Failed kit replaced, the controller brought up to the current operating system, programming cleaned up.

Contact us with a photo of the rack. Control4 systems can be transferred between dealers, and we take over orphaned systems regularly.
Can you take over a Control4 system in a house I have just bought?
Yes. The previous owner's accounts are released and the system is registered to you, with new passwords and a fresh set of documentation.
Will my old Control4 controller still be supported?
It depends on the generation. Some older controllers no longer receive updates; the survey tells you whether yours is one, and the upgrade page explains the options.
What does a Control4 takeover cost?
The survey visit is charged at our published rate, which is on the cost guide. Any repair or upgrade is quoted separately after the survey.
Do you take over systems outside Dublin?
