A Control4 project with us runs through seven steps, from the first enquiry to the care plan after handover. The order is the same for a single cinema room and a whole house, because good installations are mostly good planning.
How a Control4 project runs
- Enquiry
Send a few lines through the enquiry form or WhatsApp. We come back with questions and a first sense of what is involved.
- Consultation
A conversation at the house or over a video call about the rooms, how you live and what the system should do. Charged at the published rate.
- Survey and design
Measurements, a check of the electrics and the network, then a design: drawings, an equipment list and the scenes for each room.
- Proposal
An itemised proposal you can read online, comment on and approve.
- Installation
First fix cabling, then equipment, rack and programming at second fix, coordinated with your other trades.
- Handover and training
A walk through every room and every screen until it feels obvious, with drawings and documentation in your client portal.
- Care
Remote support, monitoring and an annual health check through Control4 Care.

Questions we are often asked
How long does a Control4 project take?
A single room is days; a whole new build follows the building programme, with first fix early and programming near the end. We give dates at proposal stage.
Do I need to be there during installation?
Not for the cabling and rack work. We do need you for the handover walk through so the scenes match how you live.
Can I see the design before committing?
Yes. The proposal includes drawings and the equipment list, and you can comment on it online before approving.
What happens after handover?
The system is documented in your client portal, and Control4 Care keeps it supported and up to date.
